I saw the comment about blade play before I ordered mine. I though maybe that person got a bad build. After getting mine, I see the issue. I own approximately 25 Case knives which all are slip joint folders except for my copperlock which I love. The only drawback is it takes 2 hands to close the copperlock since it s a lockback knife. I m an electrician and love the idea of a locking blade so naturally a liner lock with a thumbstud would be perfect for one handed operation. The knife is beautiful and sharp as a razor as expected from Case steel. That s the reason I stay with Case The liner lock is the problem. It locks the blade out but it doesn t butt up with the flange. This small gap allows the blade to move forward and backward. There is no side to side play. Once I noticed this I trued to get it to fail and it did after putting an angled pressure on the top of the blade. It s not enough of an issue for me to return it but I could see how someone inexperienced with it could get hurt if they used the knife for something other than cutting. I just use it to strip large cable and open boxes so it s not an issue for me. The blade is set well, it s just the liner lock is a hair short.Read full 157 ratings for Case Bonestag Folding Hunter Pocket Knife at Amazon Reviews
